Highly Regarded Son of Triple Threat Wins on Chasing Debut

Exciting prospect Mister Policeman (Triple Threat) justified favouritism to win on his chasing debut at Fairyhouse on Friday afternoon in the colours of Mrs Susannah Ricci.

Trained by Willie Mullins, Mister Policeman had been receiving glowing reports in recent stable tours and did not disappoint.

Ridden by stable jockey Paul Townend, he tracked stablemate Feu Du Bresil before making his challenge two out and going on to win by three-parts-of-a-length.

“It was messy, we went very slow, he missed the second last…I thought going along we were only in schooling mode for the majority of the race. He'll be better at a faster pace when let jump.

“The runner-up ran to a good level in Punchestown and he's unexposed. He's improving away the whole time and I'd say he'd growing into himself. He's a nice yard stick.” commented Townend after the race.

Mister Policeman (Triple Threat) holds some exciting entires over the Christmas period including the Gr.1 Racing Post Novice Chase at Leopardstown and Gr.1 Faugheen Novice Chase at Limerick.

New to Capital Stud for 2024, Triple Threat’s progeny also include Graded hurdle winner Sans Bruit, Listed hurdle winner Rosa Kleb, Graded/Listed performers Jumper Sacre and Pacific, as well as exciting hurdlers Icare Desbois.
